Spending Fall and Winter 2021-2022 in deep contemplation, I welcomed Spring 2022 with open arms and heart. For as new sprouts poked their little heads above the earth and began to bloom and blossom in the garden so did my academic and artistic work likewise began to bloom and blossom too!
The winter was especially long and troubling as Mother’s health was failing as she was preparing to step into the next journey of her Being that happened January 14, 2022. Family divisions reflecting global divisions prevented Mother from spending time with her beloved daughters, my sister and me. Added to this was the shocking and horrifying war in Ukraine playing out daily before our very eyes as global conflicts raged.
Hours in silence with contemplative research, reading, and photography nourished my soul. It is this research, reading, and art, I will be sharing through blog posts from now through to the end of the year and perhaps beyond.
