Storing Leeks For Winter

Heeding to warnings of a first hard frost of the season, we pulled  90 or so leeks from raised garden beds in our French Potager garden. While still in the garden, we cut off straggly leaves and roots before retuning inside to wash and halve the leeks in preparation for freezing.

They last perfectly when shrink wrapped and frozen. We are still using packages of leeks from our 2019 crop
